2015 Highlights

'Go The All Blacks'

On Friday the school had a all black day for the all blacks. We had to dress up in all black or black and some white. I brought a flag to school and a fluffy coat. I think everyone enjoyed it!

On Friday at school Room 4 had a special visitor she was a special scientist. we went out side with a potato a straw and a kebab stick. When we where out side we had to chose a partner to do it with. Madison and I where together my spud went quarter of the way across from the grass to room 1!

My Term 3 Goals

My goals for term 3 are:

¨ To practise my speech really well so that I know it and can present it with confidence

¨ To use a clear, loud voice with lots of expression (an interesting voice) when I present my speech to an audience and in the school production

¨ To learn my 3, 4, 5 and 6 times tables off by heart

¨ To reduce the amount of rubbish I create and to become better at reusing and recycling

Zentangle star art

This is my zentangle star that the class did for matariki. We all had to separate the stars so there can be lots of patterns not just one big pattern that takes up the whole star and makes it look boring. For some stars we where allowed to do a background but just like the star we had to split it up. I tried to make my star as creative as I could!

Autumn poem

All About Me

Hi my name is Imogen, I go to Lawrence area school and I have two older sisters. I am really 

good at hand writing and writing but my favorite subject is reading I do netball every day on Thursdays and Sundays. I am in room 4 as a year 4 and I am 8 years old.

Making popcorn

On Friday we made popcorn. To make popcorn you need a pot or frying pan and a lid. Mrs May put oil and popcorn kernels in the frying pan and turned it on but it didn't pop. Then she turned the heat up and then the popcorn started popping!

Term 2 Goals

¨ I am learning to write a report, using headings, sub-headings and topic sentences effectively

¨ I want to give everything a go on school camp, and make the most of all opportunities
